I think it is a product mistake that progressive web apps are essentially unsupported for on Windows.

Requiring an Addon install drastically hurts desktop PWA adoption. The Addon then next requiring users to install one of these options as a next step is a disaster.

What is the Firefox vision? That people should use containers (also an addon) or just only use tabs?

A screenshot of the Firefox Progressive Web App Add-on. To enable the addon, you must either install Visual C++, or install a Windows Package Manager, or install Chocolatey, or install Npackd, or some other crazy tools.
