Hey all! I’m in the process of writing a paper about LGBTQ+ people and their experiences in the Catholic Church. In order to get some more primary sources, I came up with a quick survey. If you identify as LGBTQIA+ and are a part of the Catholic Church, please consider helping me out!

All answers are anonymous and will only be seen by me.

OK darlings, back when the internet was new and fresh, there was talk of "microtransactions" and things like sub-penny costs were imagined. Somewhere along the line, folks started calling _any_ in-app purchase a microtransaction. Buuut, $5 is clearly a macrotransaction.

Has anybody heard of projects to replace the #iOS on #iThings with a mobile GNU/Linux like #UBports, #PostmarketOS, or #PureOS?

that'll be that for the rust for the night.

Long stare.

Warren or Sanders, ok? A few others as cabinet members, maybe.

So the essential need becomes "can we insert instrumentation into the system", and the correlary, building the UX to ask questions in a power developer way.

As the service matures to an alpha, it'll eventually call into itself to log its own information, thus shaping its evolution by dogfooding.

I'm worried about the UI though. I want this to actually be used, and I'm a UI... ah, outlier! I like text! LaTeX papers! Well, onward I go.

I'm working on my idea of structured logging. It's in Rust, because, well, I'm rusty at rust and I want it to be reasonably performant.

The idea here is that we NEED structured logs. Unstructured or semistructured data is a DISASTER. you need to be able to ask relational questions with EXTREMELY wide data sets.

I'm drawing some inspiration from Honeycomb and Charity Majors work but, honestly, this was from before then.

#11 Ski mountain equipment.

Memories of Sun Valley. In this area, snow means ski season.

I will be frank. It is the most classist society I've ever lived in. If a Communist had done propaganda among the youth in the late 90s, we would have called Marx a prophet who foresaw all. Without a frickin question.

Skiing as a cultural institution, I have had a distaste for ever since.

Late. The one I should have done on the 7th. This one I did at a bar with one table excited about SEC football and superhero movies, the other table howling about the football game.

Music is a spell on the non material part of humanity.

The part of android which autoterminates apps in the background can honestly fuck off, it might be fine for the average user who might forget about properly terminating apps so battery is spared, but it is a pain in the ass when you are doing multiple things and you navigate away from one app to another and the one you just left is terminated.

Ouch, seems like µBlock Origin is having trouble getting updates into the Chrome Web Store:

github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock

An not futher pointed out "bundl[ing] of unrelated functionality" causes a rejection.

Just if you wonder, why you might want to use Firefox or some other non-Chrome/-ium-browser.

I really do derive great pleasure from programming and talking about it.

So feel free to chat at me, rubber duck, pose qs, etc.

I've forgotten how much I've enjoyed helping people with programming problems that aren't line of business!

if you refer to a woman's female friends as her "girlfriends" then you need to commit to that bad and confusing decision and call a man's male friends his "boyfriends"
