Big Gulch Park in Mukilteo, Washington, about a half hour north of #Seattle. I had not been there in several years, and @duske had never been there before. Temps were perfect for outdoor exertion, and the park was mostly empty.

While the trail did get a bit squishy (muddy) at lower levels, overall the woods were dry and verdant.

I briefly left hedgehog mode to run by the library and exchange media, and caught the nicest bit of the day. An hour later, it's pelting rain again.

from #Seattle Weather Blog on birbsite: while changeable, planning for 2"-4" of snow this week is a decent bet.

Something about this scene looks surreal to me. #river #dawn #photography #photog #photo #Seattle

I posted this to Reddit years ago and got downvoted horrible, I think because I mentioned that it was taken on the Green River. That river is notorious for the Green River Killer.

Carkeek Park, #Seattle, Jan 7, 2021
Blissfully, not raining. Muddiness was quite tacky but ford-able with many rivulets draining everywhere. Folks sleeping rough in the park have tents pitched at much higher ground, and active water run-off is loud when walking the trail.

Good Monday Morning, #Seattle!

It's been confirmed by multiple sightings over the holidays that there is a *cougar* actively doing cougar-things in the Discovery Park-Magnolia neighborhood.

:yikes:

More info and safety tips, esp if you have small children or walk a dog in that area:
