To everyone freaking out because it's going to be 80˚F in #Seattle this weekend:

this EXACT weekend last year was also 80˚F, also bracketed in between days in our more usual temp range for this time of year.

What's up with that?

With the super warm weekend coming, I'd like to point out that down by the creek in Carkeek, it's about to be #SalmonBerry season, big time.

The shrubs all along the creek bottom trail are all forming fruit, with that one gorgeous bright berry the most-ripe I spotted.

#Seattle’s Leaders Let Scientists Take the Lead. New York’s Did Not. The initial coronavirus outbreaks on the East and West Coasts emerged at roughly the same time. But the danger was communicated very differently. newyorker.com/magazine/2020/05

This isn't just an indictment of New York's leadership in the early days of the #COVID19 pandemic. In actual fact nearly everyone at both the State and Federal levels failed to trust and follow the advice of the experts.

(Washington and California excepted.)
