Out of town friends make a good excuse to ride the #seattle monorail
Had the opportunity to go up to a really high tower in #seattle, obligatory Space Needle photo
Stickers I saw Capital Hill in #seattle
Fare enforcement on the in #seattle photographing someone's ID after scanning their ORCA card. Interestingly, he didn't seem to scan the barcode on the back.
New policy? I wonder what happens to that data.
Seen on the back of a bus seat on the in #seattle
Snowy #seattle from above (okay it's more like SeaTac because I was flying in from California)
Walking the tunnel #seattle
Headed in to town to walk the new SR99 tunnel. The line is completely packed, this can't all be for the tunnel... Or maybe it's just a side effect of the traffic rerouting #seattle
Watching the viaduct closure live! #seattle
Seen in SLU in #seattle
#seattle residents: is there a tool to get the garbage/recycling collection schedule in ical format/something that can be imported into Google Calendar?
It looks like it's just an HTTP endpoint that includes the address in the query parameters and returns JSON, should be pretty simple to convert to ical, but maybe someone has already done this and I won't have to?
Power is flickering up here in the Northgate area. Looks like a bunch of other places are out
Looking for suggestions for #seattle themed emoji. Right now I want to try to do one for each transit route, and probably some of the usual landmarks (space needle, market, idk... other stuff? Open to suggestions)
The admin of this instance.
I boost a lot of Seattle related content. Also a lot of tech/linux content.
An instance for people who live in or around Seattle. Also for people who don't live in or around Seattle, but want to talk about Seattle-related things. Almost all applications are accepted. We aim to review all applications within a few hours of submission, but give us 24 hours before getting in touch other ways. Due to spam we sometimes close applications. Send us an email and we can open them up right away.
